The Health and safety of each child is paramount. Outlined below are guidelines for both coaching staff must adhere to during and directly after football sessions.
CompleteSport feel that their coaching staff are the key to the correct establishment of ethics within our company. The coaching staffs attitude and coaching methods will directly affect each player under their supervision and therefore we ask our staff to pay particular attention to the moral aspects of their conduct.
1. Coaching staff must respect the rights, dignity, and worth of each and every person, treating each child equally within the context of the sport.
2. Coaches must place the well-being and safety of every participant above all other considerations, including the development of performance.
3. Coaches must aim to encourage and guide players by developing a working relationship with each of the participants, based on friendship, mutual trust, and respect.
4. Coaches must not exert undue influence to gain personal benefit or reward.
5. Coaches will clarify with players, (and where appropriate, parents) from the initiation of training blocks, exactly what will be expected from them and what they should expect from their coaching staff.
6. Coaches must aim to both promote the positive aspects of sport, (i.e. fair play) whilst not condoning violations of the rules of the game. Behaviour contrary to the spirit of the game will be highlighted and illustrated to the players why it is dishonest.
7. Coaches must adhere to both the anti-discrimination and child protection policies. Failure to do so will result in the termination the coaches’ contract with CompleteSport .
8. Coaching staff must constantly display high standards of behaviour and appearance including the use of appropriate language.
level. Sport belongs to and should be enjoyed by everyone, equally. Our commitment is to confront, eliminate, and educate people who discriminate and/or prejudge. whether physical or verbal. Any such incident will be met with appropriate action in whatever context it occurs. Education is a priority but safety is our first priority.
We at CompleteSport coaching staff believe that any child who participates in football should do so in an enjoyable and safe environment, protected from abuse. CompleteSport has adopted and established child protection policies as guided by the Football Association and other relevant sports associations.
Firstly, we recognise our responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people by protecting them from physical or emotional abuse through neglect or bullying. Secondly, CompleteSport understands and approves of the need to report allegations of improper care for children to the relevant authorities should the need arise. Last update on 13/05/08 13:48:09
